Welcome to Email Synergy Tag, part of the Synergy Air Suite by Umweltify (“Umweltify”, “we”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we process data when you use this extension to enhance your email communications with a verified green climate status tag. By using Email Synergy Tag, you agree to the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

The Email Synergy Tag extension is developed and managed by Umweltify. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how we handle data.

2. What Data We Process

Email Synergy Tag processes the following data strictly to provide its functionality:

• Device climate status — verified through the Green Login/API facility to confirm if your device is powered by green electricity.
• Email footer data — temporarily processes non-identifiable data, such as your email footer, to insert the green Synergy Tag.
• Tag verification link — the Synergy Tag includes a link for recipients to verify the tag, which directs them to the sender’s Company Sustainability Profile (for business emails).

3. What We Do Not Process

• We do not collect or store any personal data, including email content or recipient details.
• We do not access your email account credentials or monitor your email activity.
• We do not share or transmit data outside the functionality of the Email Synergy Tag.

4. How We Use the Data

The limited data processed by Email Synergy Tag is used for:

1. Verifying device climate status via the Green Login/API.
2. Generating and inserting the Synergy Tag into emails to confirm sustainability practices.
3. Redirecting tag verification links to the Company Sustainability Profile.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share user data with third parties. All data processed by Email Synergy Tag is handled securely and solely for the purpose of providing the tag functionality.

6. Security Measures

• All data processing is conducted via the Green Login/API in compliance with Google’s Limited Use requirements.
• No personal data is stored or transmitted to Umweltify servers.

7. Compliance with Google API Services

• Data is only used to provide the stated functionality.
• No data is used for advertising or shared with unauthorized third parties.

8. Your Rights

• Withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the Email Synergy Tag.
• Contact us with any questions or concerns about data processing at hello@umweltify.com.
• Where the GDPR or comparable laws apply, you may also have rights to access, correct, or delete data and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
