ThingsApp Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the ThingsApp software and services, which are part of the Umweltify Digital Ecosystem. By downloading, installing, or using ThingsApp from the Microsoft Store, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use ThingsApp.

1. About ThingsApp

ThingsApp is a core component of the Umweltify Digital Ecosystem, which also includes the Green Electricity Management System (GEMS) and the Green Login/API. Together, these tools help users monitor electricity consumption, track emissions, and enhance sustainability through green incentives.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use ThingsApp for personal or business purposes. This license is subject to the following restrictions:

• You may not modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of ThingsApp.
• You may not use ThingsApp for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
• The license terminates immediately if you breach these Terms.

3. Privacy and Data Use

ThingsApp interacts with the Umweltify Digital Ecosystem to process electricity consumption and emissions data. The app:

• Uses authorized APIs to monitor and report electricity and emissions data.
• Does not collect, store, or process any personal information from users.
• Transfers data securely and complies with applicable privacy regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

4. User Responsibilities

By using ThingsApp, you agree to:

• Use the app only for lawful purposes.
• Maintain the security and integrity of your account or device.
• Refrain from tampering with or misusing ThingsApp’s functionality.

5. Updates and Changes

We may update ThingsApp periodically to enhance functionality, improve security, or address bugs. Updates may be automatically applied based on your device settings. Continued use of ThingsApp constitutes acceptance of any updates.

6. Third-Party Services

ThingsApp integrates with other Umweltify tools and third-party APIs (e.g., Green Login/API) to provide functionality. Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and conditions. Umweltify is not responsible for any issues arising from third-party services.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• ThingsApp is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
• Umweltify is not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use ThingsApp, including data loss, device malfunction, or third-party service issues.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to ThingsApp at our discretion, including but not limited to:

• Breach of these Terms.
• Fraudulent or unauthorized use of ThingsApp.
• Legal or regulatory requirements.

Upon termination, your license to use ThingsApp immediately ends.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Germany.
