Email Synergy Tag Terms of Use

Welcome to Email Synergy Tag, part of the Synergy Air Suite by Umweltify (“Umweltify”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Email Synergy Tag extension. By installing or using this extension, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use this extension.

1. Overview

Email Synergy Tag enables users to add a green badge to their email signature, confirming that the email was generated using green electricity. It is designed to promote sustainability in business communications and operates as part of the Umweltify Digital Ecosystem.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use Email Synergy Tag solely for its intended purpose. This license is subject to the following conditions:

• You may not modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the extension.
• You may not use the extension for any unlawful or unauthorized purposes.
• The license will terminate immediately if you violate these Terms.

3. Privacy & Data Use

Email Synergy Tag processes minimal data as described in our Privacy Policy, which you should review. Key points include:

• No personal data is collected or stored.
• Device climate status is verified via the Green Login/API to generate the green badge.
• A tag verification link is included in emails, directing recipients to your Company Sustainability Profile (for business emails).

4. Your Responsibilities

By using Email Synergy Tag, you agree to:

• Use the extension only for lawful purposes.
• Ensure the accuracy of the information displayed in the green badge.
• Refrain from tampering with or misusing the extension’s functionality.

You are responsible for ensuring that your device complies with the requirements to verify its climate status.

5. Updates & Changes

We may update Email Synergy Tag to improve functionality, address security concerns, or comply with new regulations. Updates may be applied automatically based on your Google Workspace settings. Continued use of the extension constitutes acceptance of these updates.

6. Third-Party Integrations

Email Synergy Tag integrates with Umweltify’s Green Login/API and other components of the Umweltify Digital Ecosystem. Use of these integrations is governed by their respective terms and policies.

7. Limitation of Liability

• Email Synergy Tag is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent permitted by law.
• Umweltify is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the extension, except where liability cannot be excluded under mandatory law.
• We are not responsible for any issues caused by third-party services or integrations.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.

8. Termination

You may stop using Email Synergy Tag at any time by uninstalling the extension.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to Email Synergy Tag if:

• You violate these Terms.
• Unauthorized or fraudulent activity is detected.
• Termination is required for legal or regulatory compliance.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Germany. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence where the law allows.
